K&A - A celebration of love
When K&A asked me to coordinate their wedding at Long Branch, I immediately knew it was going to be special, but nothing prepared me for the sheer amount of love and support that filled every moment of their day.
Set against the unique, immersive backdrop of Long Branch Saloon and Farm; a one-of-a-kind event space built to feel like an old western town with saloon facades, open fields, and character around every corner - the whole vibe was equal parts fun, rustic, and deeply personal. The venue’s charm (and its ability to make guests smile the second they arrive) created the perfect canvas for K&A’s celebration.
From the very beginning, it felt like a community affair. Friends and family came together in the most beautiful way to pull off so many elements of the day themselves, from crafting the flowers to sharing laughs, memories, and supportive hugs. There wasn’t a detail untouched by the hands of the people who love them most, and that gave the wedding an energy that was warm, heartfelt, and vibrant.
K&A walked into the day with big nerves (totally understandable!), but something wonderful happened the moment they got down the aisle: they relaxed into themselves, soaked in each other’s presence, and truly enjoyed the celebration they’d been working toward. It was a joy to see them transform from nervous anticipation to pure delight right before everyone’s eyes.
I brought along an assistant to help set the tables early in the day, and between that and coordinating the flow of events, it was clear that every detail, even the ones you might not notice on the surface, was rooted in intention and care.
The catered BBQ dinner, perfectly fitting for the venue’s lively yet laid-back atmosphere, was enjoyed in the barn, followed by one of the most fun moments of the evening: line dancing. Guests of all ages lined up, laughed, kicked up their heels, and danced like there was no tomorrow, bringing that farm-party energy to life in the best possible way.
There was no need for over-the-top spectacle. What made this day unforgettable was the authentic love, collective effort, and pure joy from start to finish.
It was real. It was heartfelt. It was K&A.
One more detail that absolutely deserves its own spotlight: the rainbow layered cake.
When K&A cut into their cake and those vibrant rainbow layers were revealed, the entire room lit up. Bright, joyful, unapologetic. A perfect reflection of their love story and the incredible community that surrounded them.
There was this split second of surprise from a few guests who didn’t know what was inside, followed immediately by cheers. It felt celebratory in the purest way. Not performative. Not overdone. Just a sweet, meaningful nod to pride, identity, and the beauty of living authentically.
And honestly? It matched the energy of the whole day — layered, bold, and full of heart. 🌈
